About The Author
Dr. Colette Amit is recognized for her expertise and commitment to promoting health and wellness through physical therapy. As founder and executive director of PhysicalOne, a leading outpatient physical therapy practice, she works tirelessly to improve her patients’ lives.
Prior to founding PhysicalOne, Dr. Amit gained invaluable experience in various clinical settings, including acute care and rehabilitation hospitals, nursing homes, home health care, and outpatient clinics. She has served as a faculty member in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Miami-Dade College, and is a sought-after speaker on topics such as pain management, balance, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Dr. Amit is a delegate for the Southeastern District of the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Private Practice Section of the APTA. She holds a BS in Physical Therapy from Tel-Aviv University, a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University, and a doctorate in Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion (EIM).
